Liquidmetal, MicroGEL, and AeroGEL
I played with the Liquidmetal Radical Midplus, MicroGel Radical Midplus and the AeroGel 200 today. They all feel similar. Some how the Liquidmetal felt the lightest and I could be a bit lazy with it. It is fairly solid on impact. The MicroGel is a bit more solid and the AeroGel felt the heaviest. I think value wise, the Liquidmetal comes out on top because it is only $70 and the AeroGel is only $80. The MicroGel is OK but it is $150. I don’t see the MicroGel as being twice better than the Liquidmetal.
If you are old school, grow up playing with Wooden Rackets, or someone looking for a small head size, soft racket, you should look at the Head Liquidmetal Radical Midplus. I wish they have a smaller head size but at 98 sq in it is not too bad. Now a day, you can’t hardly find anything smaller than a 95 sq in.
Wilson brings back the pro staff 88. I think that is the smallest head size available out there now. But I find the Wilson are a bit too heavy and stiff. The weight slow down my swing.
